The Santa Fe Alliance for Science is excited to be partnering with the Santa Fe Indian School's Cafe Scientifique Teen Leaders for several years now to support a series of Science Cafes. These evening interactive presentations, which are held periodically during the school year at the Santa Fe Indian School, are open to any high school student and member of the public. Each Café features a dynamic presenter, hands-on activities, food and a raffle prize!

Wacky, Weird, & Wild: Plant Stories You Don't Know
You are surrounded by plants, but how much do you really know about them? Cristina Salvador and Mollie Parsons from the Santa Fe Botanical Garden will be giving plants a voice, telling the stories of our silent neighbors. Hear about the surprising and complex world of plants, from how we use plants everyday to where they find their nutrients, from terrifying survival techniques to the people who dedicate their lives to their discovery. Leave this talk seeing green in a totally new light.
